Parent Teacher Conferences
This week has been a long/short week. It is only a four day week but feels longer due to parent teacher conferences Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00-6:00. What I didn't think to plan was NOT to cook. So far the last thing I have wanted to do was cook after the long day. So we slurged and went out! Something I love to do but am trying not to do! Well today, Wednesday, was a normal school day so I came home and cleaned the house (well started cleaning --still have more todo) and made Enchladas. I was very proud of my enchalads -- they used up everything in the fridge that need to be eaten and now my fridge is cleaned out and ready to be restocked for next week. And the leftovers will be a yummy dinner tomorrow when I am to tired to cook. I was proud that I acomplished both of those things!
By the way Ruth, your Enchalada sauce was great! Thanks for the recipe.

Learning to Shop
Today was my first time shopping at Walgreens. I recently read this article on a blog and became interested in seeing if I could learn how to “cut coupons” and save money at Walgreens. I checked out several different blogs so see how exactly the rebates and coupons worked. Then today I went shopping. Today’s shopping trip went really well. I also plan on going back tomorrow for a few more things… This week is definantly a learning week but I think I did pretty good.

I spent $32.16 OFP and will be receiving back $17.57 in rebates and have $12 in rewards (money to spend next time you visit the store)…so all in all I will have spent $2.59 for $65.40 worth of items!

Snowday!
Well today is another SNOWDAY.... I have to admit that I really like these unexpected vacations... but I am a little worried about when we are going to have to make up these days....
Today I have:
- drank 2 cups of coffee
-read numerus blogs
-created a quiz for by 6th grade reading group
-made corn chowder for lunch
-washed dishes
-worked on laundry
-talked on the phone for numberous hours... it is so much fun to get to catch up with family and friends.
