Coffee....

Coffee, really good coffee is one of my favorite things to drink in the morning. And what better then that is free coffee. Joffrey's Java Beta Test. sounds like it would be interesting to try. Hopefully I will get to try some and see if it make the really good coffee list.

Ice+Snow=HOME

I really enjoy snow days. Especially when they are not expected! I thought I would get a ton done yesterday..and I did ...just not on the things that "needed" to get done. In the last two days I have:

-swept and vacuumed the floors
-straightened up the apartment
-convinced my husband to wash all the dishes for me
-washed and folded 3 loads of laundry
-organized my baking cabinet
-took 3 loads of things not needed in the apartment to the basement
-caught up with a friend for 2+ hours
-made homemade pizza and scones for a birthday dinner for another friend
- and reread Anne of Green Gable and Anne of Avonlea with lots of cups of tea!

Now I just need to get the things I am suppose to do done!

Writing again

I rarely feel like I have anything interesting to say so I never write. But I would like to write more so this blog may become very random.

Right now as Jake is in Seminary and I am working saving money is often on our minds. (At least how to save money so we can spend it on the "important" things!) This week I was very proud of myself because I saved $10 to then spend on Jake's Valentine's day present. Yeah, I know I just spent the money I saved but I saved them money on something I needed to do and was able to spend it on something I wanted to... that is my idea of saving. I have needed to have Jake's watch (his Christmas present) band adjusted so that he could wear it since Christmas. When I went to the mall to have it adjusted all the stores were going to charge me $10... so finely I got around to going to Walmart and they did it for free!

I also saved around $105 on printer ink by buying the refilling kit and refilling it myself. (You buy the kit once which is a little cheaper then one new cartridge and you can fill the cartridges 4-5 times each. With both the black and color cartridges the savings is about 9 cartridges for the price of 2.) Definitely the way to go!
